Picture of a person sitting at a table. AK Nevermore writes sci-fi & dark romantasy with spice. She enjoys operating heavy machinery, freebases coffee, and gives up sarcasm for Lent every year. Unable to ignore the voices in her head, and unwilling to become medicated, her books explore dark

Summarize your story in 75 words or less.

A fugitive on the mortal plane, Syfriana Seraphina has no choice but to feast on the adoration of mortals to survive. But after an encounter goes horribly wrong, she has to choose; run to save her skin at the price of her soul, or stay and risk running afoul of the dominion angels hunting her. Either choice could damn her, if she isn’t beyond redemption already.

What’s a favorite part of your story?

Definitely the smoking scene.

What/who was the inspiration for your story?

I just got this really vivid image of a girl taking a smoke break outside of a club and it kind of went from there.

Name three of your favorite sci-fi or fantasy authors.

Roger Zelazny, Ilona Andrews, and George RR Martin.

If you could meet anyone, imaginary or real, in sci-fi or fantasy, who would it be and why?

Poe, because he’s Poe.

You’re stranded on a desert island, and you can only have one book. Which book do you bring with you and why?

Moby Dick because I wouldn’t feel bad burning it.

Tell us about your latest release(s) and what’s coming next for you.

My latest release is Breaker and it’s a spicy dystopian sci-fi romance that’s pretty f’ing amazing. You should definitely check it out on Kindle Unlimited.
